The nursery La Palmara was created in 1975 and it has been the first company in Sicily to produce ornamental citrus fruit. Today the is situated between Terme Vigliatore and Furnari on an area of 20 hectares of covered structures, with technological system of cultivations.
80% of the production is exported to Europe, even in small quantities, with the aid of fast transport on trolleys.

Different specialized magazines (Gardenia) and TV programmes (Linea Verde - Uno Mattina Verde) have presented our products over the years.
Our plants have a C.A.C. certification and a CEE passport.

The company collaborates continually with the Experimental Institute of citrus fruit cultivation of Acireale and with the Regional Observatory of the illness of the plants of Acireale; for research and screening.
An area of the nursery La Palmera is dedicated to the cultivation of ornamental citrus fruit in vases with the characterist of biological diet, "unique biological firm in Italy".

The several varieties of collection is the most complete that one can find on the market, both for the latest variety selected and the historical variety that have been recuperated and today are available fort he collectors.

Our commercial staff is formed by motivated, prepared and dynamic people that have been trained first in the nursery to obtain a knowledge of the plants, then they have spent time in the countries where they have been delegated to operate, seeing the needs of those markets. So if anyone wishes to visit our nursery, announcing themselves in advance, they will always find one of our staff who will speak his language and will guide him in our nursery.
